Red Bull Futur/io Academy
A jury panel, consisting of renowned experts from the media industry, academia and high profile tech companies select the best 20 ideas worldwide to be invited for the Red Bull Futur/io Academy, a 3-day educational programme focused on future scenarios, storytelling and exponential technologies. Participants will be invited to different sessions and have the opportunity to work collaboratively on their ideas together with key members of the jury, which includes renowned directors.
At the end of the Academy, the best and most stunning vision will be selected to get professionally filmed and produced by Red Bull Media House.

The Futur/io Institute has brought together a jury coming from different backgrounds to select the best 20 visions worldwide.
The London-born, Barcelona-based filmmaker, storyteller & former MTV Live producer/scriptwriter is Editor of Atlas of the Future. The entertaining, influential online resource of hope maps innovative, impactful projects in science, tech and sustainability.
Jarod is the Senior Film Programmer at SXSW, one of the most important creative festivals worldwide, where he has worked since 2002. He is an experienced festival jury member and speaker and is also the co-creator and co-host of The Tacos of Texas, a new PBS Digital series.
Currently working in the field of “Future, Human & Technology” at Daimler AG, Alexander is focused on human-centered innovation utilizing futuristic technological concepts.
Martin is recognized as 1 of 100 most innovative minds in Germany. He is a well-known tech-celebrity and strategist – on a global mission to map and designing the future of work. He loves Sci-Fi and Punk Rock, both parts of the future, ask him about it!
Maurice is a visionary designer, futurist, innovator & explorer of geographies & cultures. Maurice is currently Chief Innovation Officer at Telefónica Alpha which is Europe’s first moonshot factory.
Elena studied visual art and filmmaking in Los Angeles and has a great passion for filmmaking and storytelling. In parallel with her xR research she works with many film festivals and is the founder of VR SciFest & the Immersive Science Foundation.
With great experience in producing feature length documentary films, Phie explores the relationship between science, robots & human existence, dealing with existential topics like family relations & artificial life.
Andreas Urschitz has been Division President Power Management & Multimarket since 2012 at our technology partner Infineon Technologies AG, one of the leading technology companies worldwide. He is responsible for managing the global business of the Division, developing new and serving existing markets.
Harald’s mission is “Moonshots for Europe” and desirable futures. He is passionate about meaning in technology, the future of exponential technologies and its opportunities for society, brands and entrepreneurs – especially in Europe.
